CougsFirst! Presents the 4th Annual QB Classic Golf Tournament

We’re excited to bring the 4th annual CougsFirst! QB Classic Golf Tournament back to Palouse Ridge Golf Course on April 26th, 2024, one day before the WSU Football Crimson and Gray Game!

The tournament will feature over 20 former WSU Football QBs and head coaches from the last 50 years, including hosts “The Throwin Samoan” Jack Thompson and Head Coach Jake Dickert. Cougar greats finding their way back home include Gardner Minshew, Rueben Mayes, Mark Rypien, Alex Brink, Anthony Gordon, and many more to help raise money for various organizations, including: the Cougar Athletic Fund, the Quarterback Endowment with WSU Foundation, the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation, the Cougar Collective, and CougsFirst!.

“There’s nothing like alumni coming back, especially our own student athletes, former players, and legends. To come back and really want to give back to this experience and give back to the businesses and corporations involved in CougsFirst!…it’s something that is really special and it’s big time for our Football program,” says WSU Football Head Coach, Jake Dickert.

Thanks to our presenting sponsor, BECU, this tournament is truly unlike any other Golf Classic, with activities and CougsFirst! business partners on each hole of the course. Teams will play alongside former QBs and coaches, enjoy food and beverages all provided by Coug-owned businesses, have the chance to win a brand new truck from Valley GMC by making a hole in one, and so much more!

Fans are encouraged to attend on Friday, April 26th to take photos and collect autographs outside of the Palouse Ridge Golf Course Pavilion from 9:00 – 10:00 am, with the shotgun start scheduled for 10:30 am. There will also be gallery seating available on Hole 18 during the tournament to watch your favorite WSU Football Alumni, and Coug-owned, -managed, and -affiliated businesses compete.
